DIRECTOR

Simon joined the British Armed Forces as a communications specialist. On completion of his training he worked with various specialist units within the British Army and carried out numerous exercises and operational deployments around the world. One of his proudest moments within his service was being deployed to Iraq in 2003.

On leaving the Armed Forces he was employed by a UK Private Security Company as a Security Consultant to a US Oil Company operating in Iraq. His career furthered after three years when he was assigned to a Close Protection Team in Afghanistan with HMRC and the FCO (Foreign Commonwealth Office).

In 2008 he moved back to the United Kingdom where he wanted to progress with his career. One of his highest accolades in the early part of his career (in the UK) was being a member of the Close Protection Team for one of the worlds most acclaimed musical artists known as the ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson.

In his time as a Close Protection Officer he has been responsible for the safety and security for Heads of State, A List Celebrities, Foreign Royalty, Corporate Clients and High Net worth personnel. He has also operated in the Middle East, South America, United States and Europe.

In 2009 Simon co-founded Askari Secure Ltd and is one of two Directors.

DIRECTOR

Simon started his career in 1994 after leaving the UK to become a Security Officer in South Africa for a company based in Johannesburg.

After leaving South Africa, Simon then went to work for MCI Worldcom as an assistant security manager based in Brussels, Belgium.  There he spent four years providing security management for the many Telecommunications sites being built across Western Europe.

Apart from Belgium, the projects he was involved with took him to France, Spain, Italy, Holland and Germany.

In 2002, Simon made a move to further his career back in the UK. He quickly became established as a Security Officer in the Five Star Hotel sector in Central London.

He progressed within his career working as an operations manager, which found him working on VIP Events and with RST teams, providing security for private properties and hotels across London.

In 2009 Simon co-founded Askari Secure Ltd and is one of two Directors.

Office Manager

Milleka started her career in Recruitment in 2013 working in I.T and Finance where she was responsible for dealing with high calibre, in-demand, Analytical professionals with Business development roles throughout Europe for Retailers, Marketing Agencies, Consultancies and Financial Services Organisations, Where she quickly found that her niche was dealing with people, networking, troubleshooting and implementing change.

Milleka moved on to work in HR and Compliance for Uber before settling into a role where her skills could be utilised within the Luxury Residential industry, here she recruited high calibre candidates for Luxury Residential Developments in need of Concierge and Security, was also part of the Compliance Team, dealt with Client Management and was a part of all high end networking events. Milleka has been the office manager at Askari Secure since 2020.
